Communications
Alliant Communications has hired Danielle Heinen as its customer advocate. Heinen has about five years of customer service and communications experience.
Education
Perry Technical Institute has hired Maria Najera as a journeyman electrician in its electrical program. Najera, a 1999 Perry graduate, will supervise students in field work. After graduating from Perry, she worked for Snokist Cannery, Lakeshore Electric and Total Control Electric.
Finance
The Certified Financial Planner board has awarded Joy Stenehjem the Certified Financial Planner designation. She earned the designation after meeting experience, educational, and ethical requirements and passing a certification exam.
Insurance
Conover Insurance has hired Alfonso S. Pineda as an account executive in its employee benefits division. Pineda spent 10 years serving with the United States Marine Corps, which included multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as a member of the Marines' special operations community.
Organizations
The Southwest Rotary Club of Yakima has installed its new officers and directors for the 2008-2009. New officers are: Ryan Beckett, RE/MAX Traditions, president; David Rankin, Rankin Equipment Co., vice president; Rick Smith, R.H. Smith Distributing Co., president-elect; Sonja Dodge, secretary; and Julie Smith, Yakima Heart Center, treasurer.
New directors are Doug Bernd, Roger Calhoun, Teresa Holland and David McDonnell.
